Description

Towards the end of steam on the SNCF, the American-built 141R’s monopolised the ex-PLM main line between Marseille, Toulon and Nice. Many were oil-fired, obviously much safer in hot summers with dry vegetation near the line. This one makes a fine sight as she wheels a train around one of the frequent curves on this line.
